18 March 2012, Singapore – Last night, for the first time, the stretch of Orchard Road from ION Orchard to the end of Paragon Shopping Centre was closed for a few hours at around 8pm to vehicular traffic for 2 hours and turned into a 600 metre fashion runway for brands such as Vivienne Westwood, Dsquared2, iCB, Rosebullet, J.Press, Dip Drops, Robinsons, Marks & Spencer, Paul & Joe, Maria Grachvogel and Just Cavalli. The fashion show as the opening event for Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard 2012 which was formerly known as Fashion Season @ Orchard. More than 150 models strut down the road which was attended by many photo enthusiasts as well as curious bystanders.
There was also a pre-cocktail party for guests of the festival partners which included Citroen, MasterCard, Fiji Water, StarHub, Robinsons to name a few.
Fashion Steps Out @ Orchard 2012 is a six-week event from 16 March to 29 April 2012 filled with fashion shows and activities for all. Visit for the line up.
