Liang Court is set to celebrate the various cultural festivities from Japan with their annual Japan Fest 2013 from now till 12 May 2013. During Japan Fest 2013, shoppers at Liang Court will join in the celebration with events and activities such as an Eco-Fair, Food Street and Games Carnival as well as the Spring Hello Market for an eventful day filled with delicious food, entertaining games, eco-friendly activities right within the mall.

Hundreds of Koinobori (Flying Carp Banners) made by students from Huamin Primary School using recycled materials, can be seen hanging throughout the mall, giving that Japanese Spring Time ambient while encouraging art made with recycled materials. During Japan Fest 2013, shoppers with minimum spending of S$180 can redeem 4 games carnival tickets and either a Tote Bag or a specially designed Koinobori Bento Bowl.

Here are the dates for the different fairs happening:

 

ECO FAIR (now till 24 April 2013)

The Eco-fair will comprise of retailers selling eco-friendly apparel, accessories and beauty products at the atrium. Eco Awareness activities run by students from the North 3 Cluster Schools (N3 Cluster Schools) including Fish Art using recycled plastic bottles, an art exhibition and performances on 20 April 2013. There will also be a Terrarium-making workshop for children conducted by Elias Park Primary school.

 

GAMES CARNIVAL & MEIDI-YA FOOD STREET (26 April to 9 May 2013)

Have fun with traditional Japanese Games will include favourites including 1,000 Strings, Yoyo Fishing, Super Ball Scooping, Shooting Game, Roulette, Mystery Box, Daruma Otoshi and Ring Toss. Followed by indulging in MEIDI-YA Supermarket special selection of sushi, Japanese fried snacks together with confectionary such as jelly candies, mochi and biscuits.

 

HELLO MARKET (11 & 12 May 2013)

Hello Market is a bi-annual flea market held at Liang Court that offer great bargains on authentic Japanese wares, handmade items, vintage clothing and fashion accessories.
