The spa at the health club in Traders Hotel Puteri Harbour in Johor Bharu offers a 60 or 90 minute Aromatherapy or Deep Tissue massage or a 30 minutes Neck and Shoulder massage which can also be done at the rooftop poolside on level four.
I went for the 60 minute aromatherapy massage (MYR200++) using a combination of essential oils, gentle and relaxing touches to balance the harmony to the body this afternoon. It was one of the best sixty minutes of relaxation especially after a long week.
The spacious massage room came with an attached shower room and toilet. The slow contemplative music and aroma from the aromatherapy oil burner helped to create an environment of relaxation.
While lying face down, you get a warm foot wipe to start off the session. The massage therapist Eva used generous amounts of aromatherapy oils and a medium strength pressure with strokes that are pleasantly different from any other aromatherapy massages I have been to. After working on each part of the body, she would conscientiously remove excess oil before working on another part.
Her firm pressured strokes made me relax very quickly falling into a quick sleep.
I enjoyed the toes and fingers massage. Wonderful!
