Luxe Lips To Go with Givenchy’s Le Rouge-a-Porter

Givenchy’s ultimate couture lipstick has reinvented itself as Le Rouge-A-Porter in 16 wearable colours from nude to the most sophisticated

I love a good bold lip. My obsession furthered with Taylor Swift’s new Bad Blood music video, but that comes at a hefty price – the deplorable state of my pout. Stained teeth, bleeding edges are only the beginning. Dried chapped lips make even the most gorgeous of colours look uneven and dirty.

Givenchy’s newest addition to their beauty line promises to cease our worries, all while looking like something 007 might carry. Dressed in a slim black leather casing with metallic finishes, the all new Le Rouge-A-Porter will be the ultimate couture yet easy-to-wear addition to your makeup pouch.

Make Up Artist Marie Soh showed us how to pull off the classic Audrey Hepburn look using Givenchy’s products, including the new Le Rouge-A-Porter

This is a re-invention of Givenchy’s luxurious Le Rouge, with a new hybrid formula including the ever-popular hyaluronic acid. Thanks to that, it has a sheerer, glossier finish – but, don’t put it off just because you want a stronger colour. It is indeed buildable with a slim body, making it real easy to apply when you’re on the go. No need for a lip brush.

The lip colour can be glided on sheer with a single layer or several to impart a ready-to-wear colour. The model spots a lovely pink that is surprisingly pigmented for the balmy formula of the Le Rouge-A-Porter

Truly made for the practical woman in mind, it is the ideal lippie for those looking for an everyday shade for the office or the dramatic red for the femme fatale look. You can pretty much just go for that one shade. Wear it sheer during the day, and build it up for full coverage for the night.

Those wanting to play with variety will be happy to know it was launched with 16 colours, from buttery nudes, sophisticated pinks to a deep purple. Not only are the colours fitting for the season, its initial sheer coverage makes it less intimidating – perfect for the current summer trend of having a subtle flush of colour rather than an intense lip.

Loving how pretty and nourishing the new Givenchy Le Rouge-A-Porteris for my everyday look. (i am using #104 Beige)

Verdict

While it is only my fifth day into using the N302 in Rouge Atelier, I am adoring how much it is keeping my lips looking kissable in this godforsaken heat wave. Best part? I did not even have to whip out my lip brush to reapply, I just whip it out and glide it on till I got right “shade” I wanted. No muss, no fuss.

Givenchy Le Rouge-A-Porter are currently available at Givenchy Counters at S$52 each.
