Artisan patisserie and bakery, Bécasse has opened a dining concept outlet at Dempsey Hill, serving up classic French and European inspired dishes from a new savoury & seafood menu. Your dining experience will be complimented by the black & white modern luxe interior, where you will end an enjoyable meal with a selection of elegantly handmade sweet treats.
Bécasse is a great choice for a chatty brunch or afternoon tea for a small group, accompanied by savoury dishes & desserts to zest up the conversation. Begin with the hearty, delightful & ever popular Sticky Date Pancakes (S$13) which is fluffy and flavourful that even a non-pancake fan like me will not mind finishing the whole portion on my own.
The Croque Madame (S$16) is a common and easy dish, but this dish just tastes better with Bécasse ‘s freshly baked brioche. And it comes with a familiar Singaporean twist where the truffle baked egg is served soft & running for easy dipping.
Their signature Macaron Milkshakes (S$8) which sounds like a mega sweet & rich drink, is in fact a well balanced milk treat that reminds me of dipping Oreo cookies into fresh milk. The Salted Caramel & Toffee Popcorn Macaron Milkshake is a must-try, but do watch out for that popping surprise.
For brunch or afternoon tea session, you can spend from under S$20 to S$25 a person and that is quite a reasonable deal for the fine pastries & desserts offered at Bécasse which will range from S$3.50 to S$9. As for their sharing lunch and dinner menu (items from S$8-S$32), they are okay dishes with fresh seafood varieties that does not stand out as well when compared to the breakfast menu and desserts.
Bécasse @ Dempsey Hill serves their breakfast menu from 8am to 12 noon on weekdays and up to 3pm on weekends.
