English Afternoon Tea Buffet at L’Espresso

Lespresso Goodwood Park Hotel Afternoon Tea Refreshments

L’Espresso in Goodwood Park hotel is located in the heart of Singapore’s shopping district. Despite being at close reach to bustling shopping centres, it also provides a tranquil and cozy environment for a relaxing English tea buffet. And history is on their side. L’Espresso has been known as a destination location for teatime gatherings since 1968. That is almost half a decade!

The high tea buffet includes 2 servings of drinks. You can choose from a wide range of premium coffee or tea. They serve TWG tea, with some exclusive blends specially made for L’Espresso only. If you need something stronger than caffeine, there is also a top-up option for a glass, or even a bottle, of Laurent-Perrier champagne.

The first eye-catching spread would be the open-faced and finger sandwiches. Open-faced sandwiches include Roast beef with cornichons, Smoked salmon with beetroot mousse topped with caviar and Foie gras terrine with coated pistachios and cranberry compote. For Finger sandwiches, try the Spicy crabmeat salad with tobiko, Smoked pork kassler with melted onions or something lighter like a Grilled eggplant, zucchini and red capsicum with pesto. These starters are almost a mini degustation of sandwiches with varied tastes and textures and this alone would be sufficient as a meal, especially if you threw in a Prawn and Egg croissant. But moderate your consumption as there is a lot more to the buffet.

Moving onto hot savouries, you can find popular staples like the Mini fish goujons with goma dressing, Chicken karaage, Lasagnette with ratatouille and Shepherd’s pie. There is also a unique Tomato tart with thyme and crumbled feta.

No high tea is complete without scones and thankfully one of L’Espresso’s signature items is their scones. They are available in plain, blueberry or strawberry with an assortment of jams plus Devonshire clotted cream and butter. Accompanying the scones is an indulgently creamy and warm Bread and butter pudding, with vanilla sauce on the side. They also have a big range of bite-size pastries and desserts.

High Tea buffet is available daily 2.30pm to 5.30pm from Monday to Thursday, and 12pm to 2.30pm (1st serving) and 3pm to 5.30pm (2nd serving) on Saturday, Sunday and Public holidays.

High Tea Buffet: S$45 per adult and S$22.50 per child. S$68 with a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne or S$125 with a bottle.
