The PAWN – Hong Kong

What used to be a row of four Guangzhou-styled balcony shophouses located at No. 62 Johnston Road in Wanchai, completed between 1888 – 1900s that housed the Woo Cheong Pawnshop is now one of the few remaining Chinese heritage buildings in Hong Kong. The Pawn was unveiled at this Wanchai Heritage Building in Spring 2008.

Spanning in excess of 14,000 square foot over 3 storeys, The Pawn was designed by Hong Kong homegrown artist and film director Stanley Wong to create an adult playground that integrates eat, drink and play. The rustic wooden flooring and the mixture of Chinese and Western architectural design is retained in it’s original form.

The three storeys are split into Living Room, Dining Room and Roof Garden. Chill out at the Living Room with finger food and drinks with your friends or you can dine on the second level in the Dining Room. The Roof Garden is reserved for private functions.

Modern British fare with specially selected wines, whiskies, bespoke cocktails among many others are served at The Pawn. Their signature dishes include the roast bone marrow, Sunday roast, Rotisseries, English Breakfast, Eton Mess, Lemon trifle and the Fish & Chips
