Sony Mobile, in partnership with Sony Music Singapore, rewarded one winner and a friend a three day two nights trip to Las Vegas to catch the epic Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque Du Soleil.
Hundreds of Sony Xperia Z2 users submitted their most creative impersonation of Michael Jackson to the #DanceWithXperiaZ2 Instagram Challenge. And standing out from the swamp of competing entries was the entry by Joice (@joicechia) with some help from Yixin (@shortnails). They created their own rendition of MJ’s signature Golden Thongs using gold spray paint and underwear.
Earlier this month, after almost 24 hours of flying and transiting from Singapore, the excited duo Joice & Yixin arrived at Sin City, Las Vegas. They were rewarded with a sumptuous gastronomic steak dinner at Gordon Ramsay’s Steak at Paris Las Vegas. Under the neon chic, swinging London ambiance of Steak, the girls got to try the renowned Gordon Ramsay’s Roasted Beef Wellington and many other dishes.
For that next two nights, the girls got to stay in the iconic golden block on Las Vegas Strip, Mandalay Bay, which is also home to the Michael Jackson ONE Theatre, as well as a Shark Reef Aquarium and Mandalay Beach, an 11 acres pool area which includes three heated pools, a wave pool, a lazy river and even a man-made BEACH.
The show will literally bring tears to MJ fans when Michael’s hologram dances to “Man In The Mirror”, disappears into a star dust and turns back to that young, sweet & innocent boy from Jackson 5. Long live the legend for King Of Pop.
The girls loved the performance so much that once they exited the theatre, they quickly stormed into the gift store to shop for MJ merchandise and CDs. So at least they managed to bring some memories of Michael Jackson ONE with them back to Singapore.
As a “bonus”, DJ Justin Ang from Muttons of 987FM was the girls’ celebrity tour guide and driver for the trip in Las Vegas. Justin who is very familiar with Las Vegas was generous to bring the group around and introducing the must visit spots for the first time visitors. So the girls managed to cover many attractions like the new Highroller, Coca Cola Store, as well as outlet shopping during the trip.
And victory dance for Joice and Yixin, as they were able to pack all those Ghirardelli chocolates, MJ souvenirs and the bags of apparels from their outlet shopping in to their luggage and brought them back to Singapore. The girls had lots of fun experiencing “The City That Never Sleeps” and it was totally worth it for them to travel so far to catch Michael Jackson ONE by Cirque Du Soleil. And the girls thanked Sony Mobile and Sony Music for this wonderful trip to Las Vegas.
