Air New Zealand Celebrates Flying To Singapore

Air New Zealand resumed services between New Zealand and Singapore on 6 January 2015 reintroducing daily direct flights between Auckland and Singapore. (Read about that here)

Two months later on 4 March 2015, the Kiwi airline celebrated its return to Singapore together with Changi Airport Group at an event at Lantern in Fullerton Bay Hotel. The event was attended by members of the local tourism industry as well as executives from Changi Airport Group, Air New Zealand’s revenue sharing alliance partner Singapore Airlines and SATS.

Guests were treated to a traditional Maori Kapa Haka performance by the airline’s staff, photo taking sessions with prizes given away as well as a display of the much-talked-about Economy Couch seats. Guests got to toss or Lo Hei for success and good fortune at the event on the 14th day of the Chinese New Year festivities.

The airline has also recently launched a joint campaign with Tourism New Zealand to promote the Singapore – Auckland route between April and June, with special fares starting from S$999.  For more information, visit airnewzealand.com.sg.
