United Airlines opened a new Global Services reception lobby offering personalised check-in and travel services to members of United’s invitation only Global Services programme and United Global First customers travelling long haul at its New York hub in Newark Liberty International Airport
The new lobby is accessible via the Premier Access entry at Door 4 of Terminal C mid-level departures area. Mirroring the decor of the new United Club design concept introduced last year, the reception area has four full-service check in counters and is adjacent to C-2 security check-point and features. It also provides direct access to four newly constructed security lanes for TSA PreCheck customers or standard lanes for those who are not PreCheck-eligible.
United Airlines has also expanded its tarmac transportation service to Newark Liberty, previously only available in Chicago and Houston. United will chauffeur Global Services members and United Global First customers with tight connecting schedules on its Mercedes-Benz GL-Class vehicles across the tarmac to connecting domestic or international flights at Newark. The airline has also partnered Mercedes-Benz USA to offer other benefits such as special pricing and bonus miles to United MileagePlus Premier members.
