British Airways returns to Kuala Lumpur from 27 May 2015 operating a four-cabin Boeing 777-200ER daily service, after it suspended flights in 2001 after global travel slowed down, post 11 September incident. British Airways will be the only airline to offer premium economy seats between London and Kuala Lumpur. There will be 12 First seats, 48 Club World business class seats, 32 World Traveller Plus premium economy seats and 127 World Traveller economy seats.

British Airways first began flying to Malaysia on 9 December, 1933 as Imperial Airways using an Armstrong Whitworth Atlanta. The flight made 22 stops from London Croydon Airport before reaching Alor Star (now Alor Setar) nine days later compared with 12 hours and 45 minutes for the new flight.

BA034 departs Kuala Lumpur at 11.05pm and arrives in London Heathrow Terminal 5 at 5.25am. BA033 departs London at 8.15pm and arrives in Kuala Lumpur at 4pm.
