A new InterContinental Singapore Robertson Quay is scheduled to open in 2016. This is the second InterContinental hotel in Singapore and will be developed by RB Capital and managed by InterContinental Hotels Group. RB Capital recently launched Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay earlier this year.
The new five-star hotel will offer 225 contemporary design rooms with views of the Singapore River and city skyline and will take over the current Gallery Hotel site. The hotel’s arrival lobby, concierge services and restaurant will be located on the ground level while the hotel reception will be located on level four together with the meeting rooms, function space, club lounge, swimming pool and bar. The new hotel is designed by SCDA Architects and will sit atop a mixed use development comprising restaurants, bars and lifestyle retail outlets.
IHG currently offers more than 2,200 rooms in Singapore including the InterContinental Singapore, Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre, Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium, Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road and Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay.
The current InterContinental Singapore is located at Middle Road and is connected to Bugis Junction Mall.
