Qantas launches a new safety video for 2016. Besides the safety information for the aircraft that you are flying on, the video also features 17 Australian destinations in the five minutes 28 second video. After all the safety video is the mostly watched video on board flights. Some 30 million people get to watch the video in a year on board Qantas flights. It is also a very smart way to grab people’s attention and to get them focused on the safety information.

This safety video will be introduced across the Australian airline’s domestic and international from this month as well as on its online channels.

Watch an oxygen mask demonstration at the Museum of Old and New Art in Hobart, a life-jacket demonstration at Bondi Iceberg, a brace position demonstration during a yoga class on Hamilton Island, count rows to the exit on a Yarra Valley valley, an emergency slide demonstration at Josephine Falls in Queensland or a no smoking reminder on Tasmania’s Cradle Mountain among others.

Qantas’ contribution to tourism promotion includes marketing partnerships worth over A$80 million with state and territory marketing agencies and extensive direct Qantas advertising and owned media activity across its global network. A recent Deloitte Access Economics report found that, in 2014/15 the Qantas Group facilitated $9.5 billion in tourism expenditure in Australia, or one in every nine dollars spent, supporting 105,000 jobs across the country.

The next time you travel on Qantas, check out the safety video and spot these 17 locations:
