Tigerair launched its inaugural flight between Singapore and Quanzhou in China’s Fujian province this morning. Tigerair is the only airline to operate direct flights between these two cities and will fly three times a week on Monday, Thursday and Saturday.
TR 2926 departs Singapore on Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 10.30am and arrives in Quanzhou at 3.15pm. The return flight TR2927 departs Quanzhou at 4.15pm and lands at Changi International Airport at 9pm.
This city is Tigerair’s 12th destination to Greater China contributing to the 79 flights to China the budget carrier operates weekly.
This major textile, apparel and petrochemicals manufacturing hub is strategically located at the start of the Maritime Silk Road and is expected to see growth under China’s One Belt One Road initiative.
It is located within a short 1.5 hour drive from Xiamen, the key commercial centre of the Fujian Province, and a 2.5 hour drive from Fuzhou, the provincial capital of Fujian.
