14 January 2012, Singapore – SingTel mio TV adds another channel, Celestial Classic Movies, to its current suite of channels. on 1 February 2012. Chinese film fans can enjoy shows by Shaw Brothers Film Library such as The One-Armed Swordsman, The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, Come Drink With Me and Blood Brothers as well as classics in other genres such as comedy, drama, horror, musicals and even Huangmei opera.
Today screen legend Cheng Pei Pei makes an appearance at Causeway Point Shopping mall today to a crowd of 500 to promote the launch of Celestial Classic Movies on SingTel mio TV. Pei Pei is famous for her reputation as the “Queen of Swords” in Chinese classics such as the Golden Swallow Dragon Swamp and The Lady Hermit.
