The event takes place on 28 March 2026 at Suntec Singapore\, Tower 1 and 2 Atrium\, with more than 500 participants expected. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHeld as part of World Down Syndrome Day celebrations\, the initiative highlights inclusion and diversity. Observed globally on 21 March\, the day reflects the triplication of chromosome 21\, with mismatched socks symbolising uniqueness and acceptance. \n\n\n\nPurchase socks here. \n\n\n\nEthan Macfarlene (Credit: Dawson Tan and Brandon Wong)\n\n\n\nThe celebration carries the theme “Our DSA Heart – A Lifetime of Love”\, recognising three decades of support for persons with Down syndrome and their families in Singapore. \n\n\n\nOn 28 March\, expect a community walk\, stage performances\, carnival activities\, and the official record verification. Guest of Honour Eric Chua\, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for the Ministry of Law and Ministry of Social and Family Development\, is expected to attend. \n\n\n\nThe wider World Down Syndrome Day Carnival runs from 23 to 29 March 2026 at Suntec City\, with the main celebration from 9am to 4pm on 28 March. The campaign also aims to raise S$250\,000 to support DSA programmes and services.
