DESCRIPTION:The National University Cancer Institute\, Singapore (NCIS) is set to host “NCIS Celebrates Life\,” a family carnival over the weekend of 4 to 5 November 2023\, marking a milestone in their journey as a national cancer center since 2008. NCIS\, affiliated with the National University Health System\, is both an academic and national specialist center for cancer\, providing comprehensive care for both pediatric and adult patients under one roof. Their services span from cancer screening\, diagnosis\, and treatment to rehabilitation\, survivorship\, palliative care\, and long-term support. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou can support the battle against cancer by engaging with the new interactive mobile game called “NCIS Fights Cancer.” In this game\, you can participate in battles and have a chance to win exciting prizes courtesy of Razer. While playing\, you’ll gain valuable knowledge about cancer prevention. Moreover\, any in-game purchases you make will contribute to cancer research and provide assistance to financially challenged cancer patients\, as all proceeds will be directed to the NCIS Cancer Fund. \n\n\n\nIf you want to bring hope to cancer patients\, you can donate $20 and\, in return\, receive a coupon booklet that can be used at the food and beverage stalls\, enjoy carnival games\, and even get a complimentary goodie bag during the event. DESCRIPTION:Sake Matsuri 2024\n\n\n\nSake Matsuri returns from 10 to 12 May 2024 and will be held for the first time at the iconic F1 Pit Building.  \n\n\n\nOver 250 sake and Japanese spirits from close to 100 Japanese breweries will be available for festival-goers to taste at each three-hour free-flow session. Fuel up with modern Singaporean bites from Fatt Choy Eating House as well as oysters from The Oyster Cart. The free flow sessions will be held on 11 and 12 May 2024 from 11 am to 2 pm and 4 pm to 7 pm. \n\n\n\n\n\nFree-flow sake highlights include Sakurada Sake Brewery’s collaboration with Shata Shuzo (previously Tengumai Brewery) to produce Noto First Sakura + Tengumai Junmai Ginjo. Kojima Sohonten Co has released Toko with Green\, a Junmai sake that is blended with two types of Junmai sake using traditional Edo-period milling techniques. The 427-year old and the 13th oldest sake brewery in the world achieved carbon neutrality in its production facility last September. A more sustainably produced Toko Junmai Dainjo Aigamo Farmed uses locally sourced Dewasansan rice from Yamagata\, cultivated using Aiganmo-Robot farming method.  One of the most luxurious labels available for sampling is the Zankyo Super 7 2023\, a Junami Daiginjo with 7% rice polishing ratio from Niizawa Brewery Co. in Miyagi.  \n\n\n\nSake Matsuri Singapore will donate all net proceeds from a series of three industry-led sake and food pairing sessions to aid recovery efforts in Ishikawa where the Noto Earthquake also damaged numerous sake breweries. Funds will be channeled to quake victims through the Embassy of Japan in Singapore and the Japan Red Cross Society.  \n\n\n\nThese pre-festival sessions priced between S$88 and S$128 per person will be guided by Sake Samurai Elliot Faber\, Inter Rice Asia’s Adrian Goh and Reuben Oh from The Kabuki Works.
