CASIO is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its G-SHOCK MR-G watch. It has released MRG-G1000HT, a limited edition 20th anniversary model in collaboration with a third-generation master artisan Bihou Asano. Asano is a master tsuiki artisan who has created works for the Kyoto State Guest House and participated in restoration work of items designated as important Cultural Properties in Japan.
The new MRG-G1000HT is created using a metalworking technique by which a sheet of metal is hammered out thinly into a three-dimensional shape. Only 300 of these pieces will be sold worldwide. It will be available at G-Factory stores and exclusive retailer Cortina Watch at S$8,888 from 26 July 2016.
