11 January 2013, Singapore – The couple’s cinema at Golden Village (GV) City Square is officially named “Gemini” today. The name was picked from a combination of two winning entries received from the public in the “I Name My Cinema Hall” contest held last year where the cinema operator received 1,400 entries.
GV City Square first opened its doors on 13 November last year as the cinema operator’s 11th multiplex location. GV launched the auto-gate system for the first time which allows patrons to enter via a confirmed booking code sent to their phone. GV implemented an integrated digital projection solution where all necessary equipment is housed inside the auditorium, saving space.
Gemini features 21 sets of double seats and couples can cosy-up in their private space as pairs of cinema seats are separated from one another.
GV City Square is located at 180 Kitchener Road, #05-02/03.
