20 December 2012, Singapore – Have you checked out Hotels.com latest iPad App launched this year.  Personally, I like the new user friendly interface.  The easy to navigate app makes searching for the right hotel with the right pricing much more exciting when planning a vacation.  There are 140,000 hotels around the world, 20,000 last-minute deals and over 2.5 million user reviews for you to browse through.

The app lets you book up to eight rooms per property for a total of 28 nights for the longer staying trips.

Sign In – The App Remembers Your Bookings

Once you have registered for an account on Hotels.com you can simply sign in on the iPad app so that it remembers your bookings as well as last viewed hotels.  You can view all of your past and future bookings through the app without a data connection.

Display Hotels Near You

This is useful when you are overseas and need to book rooms when you are there.  Of course you have to be wifi or data enabled to use the feature.    It shows the latest deals available in the city you are in so that you can book on the spot.

It also comes in a map view so you know exactly where hotels are located.

Personally, I like the section that tells you the local attractions located close to the hotel.

User Generated Reviews & Ratings

Hotelsdotcom Ipad App - User Reviews

Users can leave reviews and ratings from 1 to 5 which I find useful when deciding which hotels to book.  There are various tabs that explain the amenities provided, photos as well as a map that depicts the activities and points of interest and where the hotel is located.

Shortlist Hotels You Are Interested In

After selecting the location, check in date and the number of nights you require, the shortlist shows the available hotels which you can sort by Best Sellers,  Price – Low to High, Star Ratings – High to Low, Star Ratings – Low to High and Guest Rating.

This function also lets you save those hotels that you are interested in so that you can always come back to this list anytime to check whether there are any price changes.

  16. This is a great app! I started using Hotels.com after a DISH coworker of mine recommended it, and I can’t imagine booking hotel rooms from here on out without it. Another favorite app of mine for travel right now is the DISH Remote Access app. It lets me watch live or recorded shows off my home receiver, using just my iPad, no matter where in the world I am as long as I get a 3G or wifi connection. It’s perfect for killing time while I wait to board my plane.
