Manchu-Han Imperial Feast at Man Fu Yuan
8 November – 9 November

Man Fu Yuan at InterContinental Singapore is bringing one of China’s most elaborate culinary traditions to Singapore for the first time. This exclusive two-day event will feature the Manchu-Han Imperial Feast, an opulent banquet once reserved for emperors of the Qing dynasty, curated by Executive Chinese Chef Aaron Tan and his mentor Master Chef Qi Jinzhu. Chef Aaron is the first Singaporean formally trained in this culinary art while Master Chef Jinzhu trained under the last imperial chef of the Qing Court.

Diners can expect over 20 authentic dishes, adapted from the Qing Dynasty’s most luxurious banquet. Highlights include The Phoenix Returns to the Nest (Double boiled birds’nest with chicken mousse, Jinhua ham and white fungus), Kun Lun Abalone braised with dried grouper skin, Orchid Bear Paw (a creative re-imagining of the imperial bear paw delicacy), Roasted Whole Lamb slow-roasted with Mongolian spices and perilla leaf and the Pearl White Jade Soup, a light broth with baby spinach, tofu and rice.
A live orchestra, traditional dancers and calligraphy displays enhance the dining experience, recreating the grandeur of the imperial court.
