17 September 2012, New York, USA – Canon will be shipping their cheapest and lightest full frame DSLR, the Canon EOS 6D in the USA from end-November 2012. Priced at US$2,099, the Canon EOS 6D is US$1,400 cheaper than the 5D Mark III and weighing at 690g it is also lighter than the Nikon D600 full frame DSLR which is 760g. Though it is cheaper and lighter, the Canon EOS 6D DSLR comes with built in WiFi that the free Canon EOS Remote app available for iOS and Android, will allow a smartphone or tablet to remotely connect, control and operate the connected EOS 6D.
