AirAsia Launches Bangkok – Nakhon Phanom in February 2012

28 December 2011, Bangkok – AirAsia will be launching new daily flights between Bangkok and Nakhon Phanom in February 2012.

You can experience AirAsia’s brand new 180 seat Airbus A320 plane.   In addition to the new routes from Bangkok, AirAsia is also opening new direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Surat Thani, Thailand (AK code – AirAsia Malaysia) and from Kuala Lumpur to Semarang, Indonesia from 6 February 2012.

Tassapon Bijleveld, CEO of Thai AirAsia hopes for the airline to increase connectivity between routes with great tourism and investment potential. The Bangkok-Nakhon Phanom route will play a huge role in increasing connectivity between Thailand and Laos, in addition to the Third Thai-Lao Friendship Bridge between Nakhon Phanom and Khammouane.

The cultural diverse city has a huge melting pot of cultural influences from Thailand, Laos and Vietnam. Famous attractions include a famous religious site the Wat Phra That Phanom.
