Halloween Review: Deadly Ever After at Sentosa 4D Magix

Deadly Ever After at Sentosa 4D Magix

19 October 2012, Singapore – Deadly Ever After at Sentosa 4D Magix is based on the story of a girl named Ah Ling who was married to a ghost and later turned insane after she found out she’s bearing the child of her undead husband. So throughout the trail, you will meet Ah Ling in different shapes and sizes, tall and short, child-like and pregnant.

Being the most affordable haunted house trail in Singapore (for admission fee only), the scariness of the trail is also discounted. Ideal for those who just want to visit a haunted house for fun and not the scare factor.

SUPERADRIANME.com Rating for Sentosa 4D Magix’s Deadly Ever After:

  • Photo opportunity: Limited (there’s only that handful of scare actors roaming outside the haunted house, and it feels more like taking pictures with Cosplayers than scare actors)
  • Role Play by the actors: 7 out of 10 (the scare actors stayed in their roles, but some of them did not put in that extra effort to build a character for their role. It becomes just another lifeless, slow moving & mute zombie roaming the streets that no one cares about)
  • Quality of Props Used: 6 out of 10 (the staging uses too many clothes dividers for zones making it look a bit amateurish, but some of the makeup on the scare actors is not too bad for the cheapest Halloween trail in Singapore)
  • Fun Factor: 3 out of 10 (the trail is way too short, if you kept walking without any stops you should finish the trail in under 10 minutes)
  • Horror Ambiance: 3 out of 10 (not much horror and the mood was not built up before entering the haunted house, except for a few roaming zombies under bright ambient lighting and the annoying screams from Ah Ling in the looping video)
  • Scare Factor: 4 out of 10 (it is mild and expected, so it will be a great choice for those who are weak at heart)
  • Price Factor: 5 out of 10 (It’s the cheapest in town, but it may also be the shortest trail in town too)
