19 November 2012, Singapore – The Art of the Brick, a LEGO sculpture exhibition, by New York based artist Nathan Sawaya will be showcased at Art Science Museum from now till 14 April 2013. This is the first time Nathan Sawaya is exhibiting in Southeast Asia and Art Science Museum is also hosting the biggest collection of Nathan’s work till date.

A specially commissioned Art Science Museum LEGO sculpture created with 15,999 LEGO bricks by Nathan is also exhibiting at The Art of the Brick. Nathan who used to be a lawyer and now a full-time artist says he wants to send out the idea through his exhibition that “Anything Can Be Art”.

You may pose and snap pictures with the sculptures but you are not allowed to bring any of the LEGO bricks home. Alternatively you can visit Sweet Spot at Marina Bay Sands Hotel Tower 3 Lobby to purchase a delicious “Building Block” dessert at S$9 a block.

Ticketing Information:

Tickets can be purchased on the ArtScience Museum website www.marinabaysands.com/ArtScienceMuseum and all Marina Bay Sands box offices. Operating hours: 10am to 10pm daily, including weekends and public holidays. Last entry into ArtScience Museum is at 9pm.
