Canon PhotoMarathon 2026 Celebrates 20 Years with Free Your Canon Event at Guoco Tower Singapore

Canon Singapore is marking the 20th anniversary of its iconic Canon PhotoMarathon with the launch of Your Canon Event, a free three day festival celebrating creativity, photography, filmmaking and making. The event takes place from 23 to 25 July 2026 at Urban Park @ Guoco Tower, welcoming photographers, content creators, hobbyists, gamers, artists, families and anyone who enjoys creating.
The first two days transform the venue into an open maker festival with workshops, guided photowalks, hands on activities and opportunities to try Canon cameras and printers. On 25 July, the spotlight shifts to the landmark 20th Canon PhotoMarathon, one of Singapore’s longest running photography competitions.
This year’s PhotoMarathon is open to all camera brands, with more than S$50,000 worth of Canon prizes available across the Open and Student categories. For the first time in its history, the competition also introduces a video category, welcoming smartphone creators alongside traditional photographers.

What to Expect at Your Canon Event
Visitors can participate in workshops hosted by local creative communities, including:
- Soilboy’s kokedama, plant styling and photography workshops
- TableMinis miniature painting and Dungeons & Dragons sessions
- Marian Carmel’s scrapbooking workshop
- Pet photography workshops
- Guided photowalks
- Hands on experiences with Canon cameras and printers
Participants can also collect stamps from activity stations to redeem limited edition collectable cards. Completing the full collection enters visitors into a lucky draw to win a Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark III.
Canon PhotoMarathon Turns 20
Returning on 25 July 2026, the Canon PhotoMarathon continues its familiar challenge format, where participants receive photography themes on the day itself and have two hours to capture and submit each assignment.
The newly introduced Video Category runs slightly differently. Its theme will be announced at 12.01am on 23 July, giving participants until 11.59pm the same day to shoot, edit and submit their video. Winners for both photography and video will be announced during the event on 25 July.
