Singapore Attempts Largest Mismatched Socks Gathering for World Down Syndrome Day 2026
23 March – 29 March

The Down Syndrome Association Singapore (DSA) will mark its 30th anniversary with an attempt to enter the Singapore Book of Records for the largest gathering of people wearing mismatched socks. The event takes place on 28 March 2026 at Suntec Singapore, Tower 1 and 2 Atrium, with more than 500 participants expected.

Held as part of World Down Syndrome Day celebrations, the initiative highlights inclusion and diversity. Observed globally on 21 March, the day reflects the triplication of chromosome 21, with mismatched socks symbolising uniqueness and acceptance.
