The St. Regis Singapore has unveiled a refreshed take on its iconic afternoon tea experience with the opening of The Tea Room and Patisserie. The serene hideaway in the hotel’s lobby is inspired by the nearby UNESCO-listed Botanic Gardens.
The Summer Garden Afternoon Tea Ritual
The Tea Room is a modern sanctuary dressed in soft ivory, blush pink, and sky blue. Mirrored panels reflect the lush greenery just beyond the hotel doors, while champagne-gold accents and curated art pieces lend a quiet sophistication. The result is a space that’s equal parts inviting and elegant, perfect for a tête-à-tête or a solo retreat with a pot of tea.
The Summer Garden Afternoon Tea is served daily from 3pm to 5pm. The afternoon tea is S$65++ per person with a glass of sparkling tea or S$95++ per person with a glass of R de Ruinart Brut champagne.
Guests are treated to a seasonal celebration of floral notes, summery colours and European pastries. Start with a glass of Copenhagen Sparkling Tea and continue to a choice of tableside-brewed loose-leaf tea or a crafted coffee. The classic three-tier stand features savoury and sweet bites including unlimited servings of freshly baked scones with clotted cream and four types of artisanal jam.
Highlights of Savouries include Foie gras on shortbread with raspberry caviar, tea-cured salmon mosaic, goat cheese tart with elderflower. For sweets, there are jasmine citrus with mandarin confit, pistachio financier with strawberry confit and tropical garden tartlet.
Finish with the vanilla macaron and lime caramel praline.
Local Flavours, Global Techniques
Beyond the afternoon tea, The Tea Room’s à la carte menu is a marriage of East and West. Singaporean favourites are reimagined with finesse. There’re Chilli Crab Kueh Pie Tee, Rojak Salad, and Lobster Laksa served in elegant portions.
The dessert menu continues to surprise, with creations like the Pandan-Coconut “Tiramisu” and Calamansi Tart, each highlighting native flavours through a contemporary European lens.
Complementing the food is a beverage list that puts sustainability and provenance first. Teas are sourced from Taylors of Harrogate, while coffee beans come from Tanamera Coffee & Roastery. You’ll also find local craft spirits on the list, with gins and liqueurs from Brass Lion, Tanglin Gin, and Compendium Spirits, all proudly Singaporean.
The Patisserie: A Takeaway Treasure Trove
Directly opposite The Tea Room is The Patisserie, a charming new takeaway counter that offers artisanal cakes, viennoiseries, and gourmet gifts. Whole cakes, petit gâteaux, sandwiches, and seasonal salads are available for dine-in or takeaway. Selected items can even be ordered online for delivery.
