Visit Sketch for tea when you are in London

Facade of Sketch at Conduit Street, London

A faceless dog stares down at you at the facade of Sketch Spooky

London, 17 June 2010 – The first day I touch down in London, a friend of mine asked me to join him at Sketch for afternoon tea after a big burger I had at the Hard Rock, London.   My friend told me that I would like Sketch, and truly I did not waste my trip down there!

It was a visual masturbation, so I’ll let the photos do the talking.

Entrance

Once you reach Sketch, you’ll be impressed with the grand entrance with an arched gold ceiling.

Order and have a traditional English Afternoon Tea

When you turn right into the tea house, the pastries and deserts will be screaming at you to order them and have them for tea!  Check it out below.  Don’t you agree they are appertising.

The Ceiling Take your time to look up when you are there Sorry I got dizzy taking this photo
Check out the lamps wall paper carpet furniture and curtains
A lighted Antelopes head on the wall above where I sat

Had a rather heavy lunch at the Hard Rock London before coming over to Sketch so all we had was a pot of tea.

Finally the Earl Grey tea arrived

Well it is also worth the time to check out Sketch’s webpage. Click the photo below.

Check out Frommer‘s review of Sketch.  There’s more information to the set up and the people behind it.
