Chef Aaron Carr of Yarri Restaurant + Bar in Dunsborough, Western Australia, made his return to Singapore to showcase the vibrancy of Western Australian produce. Marking his fourth appearance at Little Farms on 11, 13 and 14 September 2025, he brought a short pop-up of signature dishes, thoughtfully paired with Snake + Herring Wines to Taste of Western Australia at Little Farms Table outlets in Tanglin Mall and Sentosa.
Yarri Restaurant + Bar in Dunsborough is the home of Snake + Herring Wines, created by Redmond and Rachael Sweeny, Sal and Tony Davis, and Aaron Carr and Kym Eyres to give the region the vibrant night-time dining spot it was missing. In a sleek modern space, Snake + Herring vintages are poured alongside other regional and international labels, craft cocktails and local brews. The kitchen champions West Australian produce, sourcing ethically and harvesting organic herbs, fruits and vegetables daily from its own garden. With food and wine designed to impress but service that stays relaxed, Yarri is a celebration of everything that makes the region special.

We were treated to dinner on 11 September at Little Farms Table, Tanglin Mall. My second time dining with Chef Aaron Carr at Little Farms and the choice of wines paired with his exquisite dishes were always on point. Snake + Herring wines are extremely approachable for the Singaporean palate.
Snake + Herring crafts award-winning wines that span from pure, vibrant Rieslings and expressive Chardonnays to perfumed Sauvignon Blanc-Semillon blends and bold, exotic Shiraz, alongside refined Cabernet varietals. Free from strict regional boundaries, their grapes are sourced from some of Western Australia’s best sites and are featured on restaurant lists nationwide. Winemaker Tony Davis approaches established vineyards with fresh eyes, experimenting with overlooked regions and unconventional grape combinations to create distinctive, intriguing wines. Guided by the belief that the rarest grapes often yield the most rewarding results, Snake + Herring continues to push boundaries in both style and sourcing.
Snake + Herring wines are available at Little Farms from S$46.98.

The five-course menu featured Wagyu Biltong, Seavine-cured threadfin bream paired with avocado and fingerlime, a chicken wing stuffed with Seavine prawn and served with Hail the Kale crunch, raw Seavine scallop, Manypeaks sirloin with Pemberton Fresh potatoes, and a dessert highlighting Bannister Downs Dairy milk with Nectar Honey.

Other Western Australian highlights at the WA! Food and Wine Fair included Belo Sea Moss, rich in over 90 minerals that promote energy, immunity, gut and skin health; Roogenic caffeine-free tea infused with native botanicals for better sleep, digestion and overall wellbeing; Small Things Wines, a Margaret River small-batch producer committed to sustainability and quality; and Running with Thieves, a Fremantle-based maker of small-batch beers and spirits using premium local ingredients.

Pemberton Fresh grows and supplies premium “blue” potatoes among its range of whites, creams, and reds, all part of its full-category fresh potato lineup produced in Pemberton, in Australia’s South West. These blues are cultivated under ethical, sustainable practices, in pristine paddocks with clean air, rich soils and a mild, unspoilt climate that supports consistency and quality.
Blue potatoes are known for their moist, firm flesh and a subtle sweetness with earthy notes, rather than being plain. Their vivid colouring ranges from deep blue to purple in both skin and flesh. Some varieties retain this hue well when roasted or cooked gently, while others may lose a little vibrancy. With a texture that’s less floury than russets yet still creamy enough for mashing, they also keep their shape nicely when boiled, roasted, or added to salads. As Ben Della Vedova, Operations Director of Pemberton Fresh, and Agriculture Director Dom Della Vedova shared over dinner, these potatoes are particularly well suited for frying thanks to their high starch levels, a quality that inspired Chef Aaron Carr to transform them into a crisp potato rosti.
We didn’t leave empty-handed, picking up a punnet of Berry Sweet Premium Strawberries at S$8.95 to enjoy over the weekend.
This event is a collaboration between Little Farms and the Western Australian Government with involvement of Invest & Trade Western Australia and Tourism Western Australia.
