In a bold follow-up to the 2024 Bugatti Tourbillon wristwatch, Jacob & Co., Bugatti, and Lalique return with the Bugatti Calandre Table Clock, a handcrafted horological sculpture celebrating more than a century of innovation and heritage.
Three years of research and development went into this new format of watchmaking, which integrates Bugatti’s iconic design DNA, Jacob & Co.’s mechanical mastery, and Lalique’s French crystal expertise into a limited-edition collector’s piece of just 99 units.

Inspired by Bugatti’s Past and Future
The name Calandre (French for radiator grille) pays tribute to Bugatti’s signature horseshoe grille, while the design references the legendary Type 41 Royale.
A pair of Dancing Elephants, originally sculpted by Rembrandt Bugatti, Ettore’s brother, frame the dial in a motif inspired by historical Lalique clocks. Behind the grille detail sits a Jacob & Co. vertical flying tourbillon, a nod to both the recently released Bugatti Tourbillon hyper sports car and traditional tourbillon mechanisms designed to improve accuracy in vertically oriented timepieces.

A 30 mm Jacob-Cut Gemstone Crown

Topping the crystal body is a 30 mm red gemstone, cut in Jacob & Co.’s patented Jacob Cut, known for its 288 facets. The vibrant hue recalls the iconic Bugatti Macaron logo, anchoring the design with both brand symbolism and jewelled opulence.
Lalique’s Artisanal Crystal Craft
Every Calandre case is cast, cooled, and hand-finished at Lalique’s atelier in Wingen-sur-Moder, eastern France. With origins in fine jewellery and Art Deco design, Lalique’s mastery of frosted and polished crystal brings depth and luminosity to the sculptural elements, including the lifelike elephants that seem to glow when lit.
Common Ground Across Icons
From Ettore Bugatti and René Lalique’s historical proximity in Alsace to Jacob Arabo’s jewellery roots mirroring René’s early craft, the Calandre Table Clock represents a rare synergy of art, engineering, and regional legacy.
Both Lalique and Bugatti once collaborated on hood ornaments and clocks; this modern reunion echoes that shared past, now reimagined for collectors.
Designed for Display

Each Calandre Table Clock comes encased in a bespoke tan leather trunk, referencing Bugatti’s interior aesthetic. More than just a functional object, this clock is a true objet d’art that blends sculpture, horology, and automotive elegance.
