M1 has upgraded Maxx, its SIM-only mobile plan. It now comes with 5G connectivity for all new and existing customers. Maxx offers generous data bundles, including Roaming bundles, easy activation and no hidden charges.

Maxx customers can upgrade to 5G for free under this limited-time offer for all S$10 and above Maxx plans. For a physical 5G SIM, visit selected M1 Shops or the Maxx 5G SIM Exchange roadshows. Check out which days are available for exchange before you head down. It wasn’t available every day at the M1 Shop in Bugis.
If you prefer a 5G eSIM, you can upgrade instantly through the Maxx App. Maxx customers can check their handset, SIM and plan eligibility via the Maxx App under “Account”, “Check Your 5G Readiness”.
The Maxx SIM‑only range originally launched on 26 August 2024, starting with a plan offering 199 GB local, 9 GB APAC and 1 GB international roaming. Port‑in users enjoyed a promotional rate of S$7.90/month; new customers paid S$9.90/month
By April 2025, M1 upgraded the offering to the more generous 290 GB local + 10 GB APAC + 2 GB international roaming plan, the most substantial local data deal then, still at S$7.90 for the initial cycle(s), reverting to S$9.90 from the 13th cycle. Also in April 2025, M1 introduced eSIM versions of Maxx plans (same data allowances) with immediate activation and multi‑profile flexibility.
