1 March 2013, Singapore – Microsoft Surface RT will be reaching Singapore store shelves from as early as late March 2013, but no news on  Microsoft Surface Pro launch in Singapore yet. So fans of Microsoft Surface can kill some itch by getting the RT version first.

Beginning late March, the rollout of Surface will continue, bringing Surface RT with Windows RT to Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore and Taiwan and Surface Pro with Windows 8 Pro to Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, New Zealand and the United Kingdom in the coming months.


What’s is Microsoft Surface Pro & Microsoft Surface RT?


Microsoft Surface Pro is comparable to a full-blown Windows laptop with the tablet capabilities. For the first time, you can have a fully functional PC that looks, feels and acts like a tablet which allows you to do virtually everything you have ever done on a PC, ranging from using your favorite desktop applications to enjoying the protection of world-class safety and security software.

Microsoft Surface RT is best described as a tablet with a less processing powerful when compared to Microsoft Surface Pro.  It features some laptop capabilities that weaves productivity and mobility. It is great for those people looking for all-day battery life and an entertainment-first experience with the ability to still get work done.

Microsoft Surface RT is only 9.3mm thick and lighter at 1.5lbs while the Microsoft Surface Pro is 13.5mm thick and weighs 2lbs. Microsoft Surface RT is currently retailing at US$499 and Microsoft Surface Pro at US$899.
