Wyndham Singapore Hotel has an excellent location in Singapore for tourists and local staycationers alike. This recent brand addition to Singapore’s plethora of global hotel chains, offers guests a convenient locale with malls like Funan and Raffles City, as well as City Hall MRT. A short walk also gets you to the city state’s Central Business District.
Especially with Singapore celebrating 60 years of independence this year, staying in one of their Bayview rooms in the its South Tower, previously Peninsula Hotel, offers excellent vantage of the National Day Parade and rehearsals as well as fire works.
We stayed a night two Saturdays back which coincided with National Day rehearsals and had a great viewing of the tanks and military vehicles returning back to base after parading through the parade, aerial fly pasts as well as fire works.
There are three more dates to enjoy this year on 26 July and 2 & 9 August. And rooms are very limited. We hear that there are only rooms available on 9 August.
For S$238++ for adults or S$129++ for children under 12, guests can enjoy access to the Sky Lounge on level 22 with a buffet of local favourites and global signatures from 5.30pm to 9pm. Free flow of champagne, house wine and beer for adults from 6pm to 8.30pm. If you are thinking of taking photos with tripods, leave the tripods at home as they are not permitted.
On rehearsal nights, adults pay S$60++ per person with free flow of house wine, beer, & soft drinks plus a selection of canapes.
Guests enjoy 15% off the Oriental Old Fashioned, Tropical Bypass cocktails as well as the Cucumber Cooler mocktail at Bentley’s Bar at the lobby until 31 August.
Seniors 60 years and older enjoy 60% off local dishes at Jaspé Restaurant, limited to one local dish per resident. Otherwise, there is a 20% off local dishes until 31 August 2025.
