The largest Legoland Water Park marks its first splash

Legoland water park marked a major milestone last week by turning on its water flow for the first time. What a splash! The Joker Soaker, a huge bucket of fun containing 350 gallons of water that overflows and overturns every few minutes, is the first completed attraction of water park. The Legoland water park which is the largest of its kind is set to open on 21st October 2013. Visitors can look forward to more than 20 water based rides and over 70 Lego models. True to the nature of Lego, children can customise their own raft with soft Lego bricks before riding the river waves with their creations.

Visitors to the park may be able to spot a multi-coloured building near the entrance which is set to be Legoland’s first hotel. With the opening of the water park this year and the hotel the next, Legoland is modelling itself into holiday destination. Stay tuned!

Junior swimmers wanted!

To mark the opening of the water park, the search is now on for swimmers between the age of six and twelve to be Junior Lifesavers at Legoland Malaysia. Six junior swimmers will be selected to join the opening crew of Legoland Water Park and get a behind the scenes experience. Log on to Legoland Malaysia’s official Facebook page to register.

Celebrate Legoland’s first birthday with a series of activities lined up for you

  • From now to 14th September, park visitors can help to build the Lego birthday cake which will comprise over 300,000 bricks, topped with white icing, decorations and a candle
  • From 7th September, jugglers, slit walkers, unicyclists and magicians will put up performances for visitors
  • Visitors born on 15th September will get free entry and special rates (RM30 per day ticket) for up to five friends when they visit on 15th September
  • For its birthday celebrations on 15th September, the park will host dance performances, a kid’s disco party and a 3D Lego firework display
  • Annual pass holders who renew online and at the ticketing counters at Legoland will enjoy extra validity till December 2014 if their current Annual Pass expires in September, October, November or December 2013. Maybank customers will also enjoy special discounts.
