The 100th Sheraton Hotel in Asia Pacific opened on 4 November 2013 in China. The Sheraton Shantou Hotel in China is owned by Logan Group and one of nearly 30 new Sheraton hotels opened in the Asia Pacific region.  Other recent openings include Sheraton properties including Shenyang South City Hotel, Hua Hin Pranburi Villas in Thailand.

Sheraton has over 100 hotels in operations and over 50 in the development pipeline in Asia Pacific. Sheraton intends to open its 500th hotel in 2016.  It is currently the largest hotel brand in China. China accounts for more than half of Sheraton hotels currently in operation in Asia Pacific with 40 more new hotels in the pipeline.  Starwood was the first global hotel operator to enter China in 1985 with the Sheraton Great Wall.  Sheraton us focusing on extending its footprint in second and third-tiered cities.

Sheraton Shantou Hotel is the 60th Sheraton Hotel in China. Shantou is a prefecture-level city with a population of over five million They are located on the eastern coast of Guangdong province and a strategic seaport and one of China’s Five Special Economic Zones. Sheraton Shantou is located on Chanping Road in the heart of Shantou’s Central Business District. It is within walking distance to government offices and the Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Sheraton Shantou Hotel has 306 rooms as well as 24 suites with views of the South China Sea.

Sheraton Shantou Hotel has a special opening package from RMB598 net for a one-night stay in a Superior Room, inclusive of buffet breakfast and free high-speed internet access valid till January 2014. SPG members get double Starpoints as part of the package and also a 15% discount at Feast and the Lobby Lounge till 31 December 2013.
