ATKINSONS Launches New Scents

Atkinsons,jpg

Next month, the darling buds of May will be commingled with the scents of rose, geranium, and lavender when the house of Atkinsons launches its contemporary collection. Lavender on the Rocks, Posh on the Green, Rose in Wonderland uncork iconic perfume ingredients: Guaiac wood and Oud accord (saffron); petit grain, galbanum, vetiver; Centifolia Rose, white musk, crystal amber. Or, in Gossip Girl-speak: The Rose is so feminine, Posh is rather sporty, Lavender I’d gift my boyfriend or my dad.

Atkinsons – no relation to Mr Bean’s Rowan – is steeped in English history, dating to 1799 (when Singapore not yet born as they say).

A young gentleman, James Atkinson, fetched up in London with his bear (likely a large loved Teddy, named George) and a pocketful of recipes for fine scents. In 1800 his English Eau de Cologne was created, its intoxicating whiff reached the gates of Buckingham Palace and Atkinsons was proclaimed Official Perfumer to the Royal Court of England.

The quintessential essence of English fragrance is yours via the Atkinsons counter in Robinsons Orchard.

A trio of perfectly pastel lavender, green, and pink, with notes of basil and coriander and blackcurrant, in distinctively gripping bottles. Just what your dress table needs.
