This unique three hour mega-event has been in the making for over a year. Metropolitan Festival Orchestra (MFO)’s music director Maestro Chan Tze Law quipped, “The Lord of The Rings has great orchestra film scores and to be able to present that to audiences live is the most distinctive part of this project.” Maestro talks about the collaboration effort and compares this large-scale orchestra performance to an analogy of an aircraft carrier which comprises many who work behind the scenes to make it happen. American composer/conductor Maestro Justin Freer echoed his thoughts, calling the movie concert, ‘a masterpiece’ and an ‘art form’.
