Kate Spade New York dressed up cafe 1894 in roses, jazz and glamour on 9th August 2016 in Tokyo as campaign model Jourdan Dunn celebrated the bohemian spirit of sirens and divas for the brand’s F/W’16 preview. Alongside co-host, Deborah Lloyd (President and Chief Creative Officer), the party played host to leading ladies of Asia, including boxer Tomomi Takano, singer Ayaka Ide, architect Yuko Nagayama and more.

Jazz numbers from Akiko & Chai-Chee Sisters filled the room with a sense of eclectic individuality and romance, just like the sweet, floral pieces that dressed them. The play of heavy plaids and tweeds with airy chiffons, floral and embellishment of the F/W’16 collection continued to dazzle as Chara stole the spotlight with her live performance.

The night was reminiscent of Liza Minelli’s divine decadence in cabaret, because, “life is a cabaret” after all. Their Fall 2016 dressed everyone to be the star of their own show, where moody blues, sultry mauves, burlesque nudes and lipstick reds stood out from the back drop of shale, black and white.
