Culture meets art in Shanghai Tang S/S’16 Women’s Collection. Vivid fabrics, graphic shapes and embroideries take center stage in this dramatic visualisation of the ethnic Miao Tribe of GuiZhou, China.

The bright clash of colours on oriental sensibilities accentuates the allure of a modern woman. Top that up with the polychromatic Miao tribal embroideries or lavish gemstone details and you have a clear winner for seasons to come.

This year’s Pantone colours may be Rose Quartz and Serenity (a lovely pink and blue combo), but Shanghai Tang is making me crazy in love for that burst of golden silk. And, just in time for Chines New Year, is the orange-red hue available with white floral detailing. It breathes pure sophistication even while staying in the festive mood!

It is a collection that radiates attitude and energy – the best way to start a fabulous new year!

Jessica is a young lady of many obsessions. She gets herself into everything ranging from the latest in the monochrome fashion world (she only wears black, and sometimes, white) to convincing the masses that Community is the best TV series ever made.
