Coffee Initiation with Nespresso Inissia

Nespresso Inissia is the newest 19 bar pressure extraction system coffee machine to be launched giving coffee lovers the opportunity to start off their love for coffee with their first Nespresso machine. Inissia is priced at an entry level pricing of S$238 and is available in Black and Red with limited quantities in Blue Sky. Well, to me the Inissia does resemble its predecessor, the Pixie, which retails at S$338.

Innisia is the lightest in the Nespresso range, weighing only 2.4kg but that should not be a concern since you wouldn’t be expected to move your coffee machine around. Despite being light weight, it still takes a short 25 seconds to heat up and comes with automatic pre-programmed coffee buttons so that you always get a consistent serving of coffee every time. It comes with the same energy saving function as any other Nespresso machine which turns off automatically after nine minutes. The used capsule container can hold up to 11 capsules while the tank contains 0.7 litres of water.

Nespresso has to be proud of the Inissia design which has been awarded the 2014 Red Dot prize for Product Design.

Inissia can be purchased from Nespresso Boutiques in Singapore at ION Orchard or Takashimaya Department Store, online at www.nespresso.com, Nespresso mobile app on iPhone, iPad and Android, Nespresso Customer Care Centre at 8008523525 and some retailers.

There is a special promotion that offers you a complimentary Aeroccino3MilkFrother worth S$168 with a purchase of the NespressoInissia coffee machine plus 10 sleeves of Grand Crus Coffee.

In Australia, the Innisia and Aeroccino3 is sold online at A$249 with more colours available including white, ruby red, blue sky, black, vanilla cream and summer sun.

In July, Nespresso will be relaunching the Fortissio Lungo grand cru since its initial launch in 2009. The new Fortissio Lungo Grand Cru moves up a tone from 7 to 8 on the Nespresso Intensity scale. A lungo cup serves up to 110 ml. Specific coffees including Monsoon Malabar, an Indian Arabica and a Latin American coffee were split roasted to generate the prominent body yet retain the rich flavour.

The new Fortissio Lungo joins the range of Lungo Grand Crus including Decaffeinato Lungo, Bukeela Ka Ethiopia, Linizio Lungo and Vivalto Lungo.

Fortissio Lungo is priced at S$9.90 per sleeve of 10 capsules and will be available from 1 July 2014.

At the recent Affordable Art Fair held at the F1 Pit Building from 23 to 25 May, Nespresso was the Exclusive Coffee Partner. More than 13,300 people attended the annual art fair contributing to S$3.7 million in art sales. Nespresso collaborated with local budding artists from the Organisation of Illustrators Council at the Nespresso Maison for an interactive “Draw me a Nespresso Moment”. Illustrators drew on transparent plastic coffee cups with black ink for those who drink their coffee with milk and in white ink for those who prefer coffee black. Free coffee and coffee cocktails were also served to guests at the Nespresso Maison.
