As the lunar calendar turns to the Year of the Horse, Singapore’s dining scene rolls out its Chinese New Year 2026 menus, spanning hotel banquets, chef-led dining, reunion feasts and premium takeaway sets. This guide rounds up where to eat for the festive season, with yu sheng highlights and booking details to help you plan ahead. Goodwood Park Hotel Deli and Min Jiang

Goodwood Park Hotel marks the Year of the Horse with one of Singapore’s most extensive Lunar New Year line-ups, spanning dine-in reunion feasts, takeaway specialities, yu sheng creations and sculptural festive bakes. Available from 23 January to 3 March 2026, the collection leans heavily into symbolism, craftsmanship and abundance, with new dishes designed around strength, vitality and progress.

At the heart of the celebrations are two visually arresting yu sheng creations. Min Jiang presents the Majestic Prosperous Horse ‘Lo Hei’, featuring a hand-painted galloping horse by Master Chef Chan Hwan Kee, while Min Jiang Dempsey offers the Blossoming Prosperity ‘Lo Hei’, a modern, fruit-forward interpretation finished with premium seafood including abalone and lobster. Both are designed as centrepieces for serious tossing sessions, available for dine-in and takeaway.

Beyond yu sheng, the hotel introduces 18 new festive creations, including elaborate centrepiece cakes such as The Charming Stallion butter cake and the Golden Fortune Garlic marble cake, alongside durian-forward desserts, refined pineapple bakes and savoury festive snacks. For reunion dining, Min Jiang and Min Jiang Dempsey roll out an extensive selection of claypot dishes, double-boiled soups and multi-course set menus, catering to both intimate gatherings and large family tables.

Best for: Classic Cantonese reunion dining, generous hotel takeaways and fuss-free celebrations under one roof.

At Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant, the focus is on reunion dining, with eight auspicious set menus priced from $88 per person. Available from 9 February to 3 March 2026, the menus are crafted for multi-generational gatherings, pairing classic Cantonese techniques with dishes symbolising abundance, health and harmony. Wah Lok also anchors the hotel’s banquet menus, which are available for family and corporate celebrations in Carlton’s function spaces.

For home celebrations and gifting, Carlton Hotel Singapore introduces several festive takeaway highlights this year, including the Abalone Eight Treasure Duck, a slow-braised centrepiece featuring duck with abalone, sea cucumber, conpoy and lotus seed, as well as the Sea Cucumber White Bait Yu Sheng, a refined take on the classic toss. These are complemented by well-loved favourites such as poon choi, soya chicken, XO sauce and pineapple tarts, along with bundled takeaway sets for larger gatherings.

Elsewhere in the hotel, Café Mosaic rolls out Lunar New Year buffet dining on selected dates around the festive period, featuring yu sheng, roasts, seafood and traditional desserts, while TUX Bar & Lounge adds a more relaxed option for festive drinks. The celebrations are rounded off with a traditional lion dance performance in the hotel lobby on 17 January 2026.

Best for: Stylish reunions, modern Cantonese dining and beautifully packaged festive gifting.

Madame Fan ushers in Lunar New Year 2026 with “Spring in Shimmer”, a polished and contemporary celebration that blends Cantonese tradition with modern theatrical flair. Running from 12 January to 3 March 2026, the programme spans dine-in menus, ceremonial yu sheng rituals, takeaway feasts and premium festive gifting, all guided by Executive Chinese Chef Pak Chee Yit’s refined approach.

A key highlight is Madame Fan’s Hamachi Yu Sheng, presented as a ritualised dining experience where guests pen wishes before the toss. The dish pairs premium fruits with fine hamachi sashimi, finished with a honey grain mustard yuzu yoghurt dressing, and is available exclusively for dine-in. Complementing this are Lunar New Year set menus priced from $108++ to $388++ per person, showcasing celebratory signatures such as suckling pig, lobster and Cantonese classics executed with modern finesse.

For home celebrations, Madame Fan offers an Abundance Poon Choi layered with premium abalone, seafood and signature pork knuckle, alongside a range of yu sheng options, curated bundles and festive goodies. Gifting is equally considered, with tiered hampers featuring dried seafood, sauces and traditional treats, as well as individual items such as glutinous rice cake, taro cake, XO sauce and homemade bak kwa.

Best for: Food-forward celebrations where Michelin-level cooking and premium ingredients take centre stage.

Michelin-starred Shisen Hanten by Chen Kentaro welcomes the Year of the Horse with a luxurious Lunar New Year offering rooted in its signature Chūka Szechwan Ryori style, blending Japanese precision with Szechwan depth. The restaurant’s festive programme includes dine-in set menus, à la carte highlights and thoughtfully curated takeaway bundles, running through to 3 March 2026.

Yu sheng takes centre stage with the return of the Prosperity Salmon Yu Sheng, with optional Osetra caviar upgrade, alongside more indulgent variations featuring Japanese madai, lobster and abalone. Among the new highlights is the wok-fried glutinous rice with foie gras, Chinese sausage and black truffle, available both as part of select set menus and for takeaway.

Seven dine-in set menus are available, ranging from $168++ to $388++ per guest, including vegetarian options. The higher-tier menus showcase dishes such as Buddha Jumps Over the Wall, barbecued suckling pig, premium abalone preparations and double-boiled bird’s nest, designed for celebratory group dining. Crystal Jade Group presents a comprehensive Lunar New Year 2026 collection across its fine-dining and casual dining concepts, offering flexibility for everything from intimate family meals to large-scale reunion banquets. Available from 26 January to 3 March 2026, the group-wide programme is led by Group Executive Chef Martin Foo and emphasises premium ingredients, traditional symbolism and polished execution.

The group’s Premium Prosperity Yu Sheng features South African abalone, aburi Australian scallop and braised cuttlefish, dressed with a roselle and yuzu-based sauce for a lighter, contemporary finish.
