High PSI levels last Saturday was not ideal for racing at the inaugural New Balance Run On Singapore. Organisers changed made the quick decision to change it into a non-competitive 5km walk from Gardens by the Bay East.

It still managed to attract over 4,000 participants to take the walk along the scenic Marina Bay waterway before they turned at the Marina Barrage to make their way back to the finishing line.

“I personally felt the race was well-organised and professionally carried out despite the unfortunate weather condition. The directions of the route were very clear with no bottlenecks, making the run a breeze. Definitely looking forward to more runs by New Balance!” – participant, Beatrice Tan, 27

Following the race, participants headed over to the unique New Balance Pop-up festival to enjoy great food and drinks, awesome performances and other interesting activities. Participants at the festival were able to pick and savour a wide range of treats, from truffle fries to “sng baos” (ice pops) while basking in electrifying music from the Obedient Wives Club and Charlie Lim.
