LaCie Sphère

Christofle Designed LaCie Sphère Hard Drive

LaCie Sphère

The silver-plated LaCie Sphère hard drive is a collaboration of Christofle’s design and Apple, PC and Linux storage manufacturer LaCie. The hard drive is encapsulated in a spherical case of silver plated steel. The round sphere is silver-plated and polished in Christofle’s silversmith workshop in Yainville (Normandy) France.

The LaCie Sphère connects to a computer with a single USB 3.0 cable that also powers the hard drive. You will be able to quickly back up your documents or a media library. A blue LED illuminates the front of the LaCie Sphère to indicate the hard drive status. It also features LaCie’s software suite – Backup Assistant, Private-Public for password protection and Eco Mode for energy saving.

The LaCie Sphère will be available this quarter in a 1TB capacity at US$490 at Christofle retail stores as well as the LaCie Online Store and concept stores.
