Apple just announced their latest range of MacBook Pro laptops with astonishing performance power up via the latest M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. It’s so hard to put those figures into words. So I think it’s easier to see them in the chart below.
Yup… that’s quite jaw-droppingly. Just take my money now! I mean on paper it looks really impressive, I can’t wait to see the real life usage performance. The higher performance M1 Max will only be available in one variant of the MacBook Pro 16. The M1 Pro will be available in both MacBook Pro 14 and 16 variant.
To make things even more efficient. Apple have also brought back more ports onto the new MacBook Pros, with three Thunderbolt 4, HDMI, SDXC, Headphone Jack and MagSafe 3 for fast charging. With just 30 minutes of charging, you can get up to 50% battery life. The battery life on the new MacBook Pros are pretty amazing too. Up to 17 hours for the MacBook Pro 14 and up to 21 hours for the MacBook Pro 16 on a single charge.
The new MacBook Pro also comes with new Magic Keyboard that is set in a double-anodised black well and features a full-height function row. The keyboards are more tactile than ever.
The new MacBook Pros will also come with high-fidelity six-speaker sound system which features two tweeters for a clearer soundstage and four force-cancelling woofers, resulting in 80 percent more bass. The sound system also supports spatial audio, which creates a sophisticated, three-dimensional listening experience. So whether you are listening to music or watching a movie in Dolby Atmos, you will get a theatre-like experience.
The new Liquid Retina Display is now brighter than ever with new mini-LED technology. It can delivers up to 1,000 nits of sustained, full-screen brightness, an incredible 1,600 nits of peak brightness, and a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Bring the pictures and videos to life.
The display also comes with ProMotion technology that have adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz. ProMotion automatically varies the refresh rate to match the motion of your onscreen content to help preserve battery life, and makes tasks more fluid and even more responsive. Video editors can also lock in a refresh rate that is optimal for your footage.
