From 1 July 2015, ANA Self Service Baggage Drop Services will be available for domestic departures at Haneda Airport Terminal 2. This is Japan’s first self-service baggage drop system and is offered alongside the airline’s automated check-in machines. The airline hopes that these services will reduce queues for passengers.

39 of such machines will be installed by the end of 2015. This number will be the largest number of baggage drop system in one airport in the world.
The ANA Self Service Baggage Drop Services will be available in English, traditional and simplified Chinese and Korean. In May this year, 49.6% more inbound travellers were recorded than the same period last year with a total of 1.64 million visitors making a record number for a single month.
Automated check-in machines will also available in traditional and simplified Chinese and Korean beginning this autumn. In spring 2016, a new series of easily identifiable pictograms will be introduced to help passengers located the appropriate counter and amenities.
