In the final quarter of 2025, Hong Kong Airlines focused on rebuilding international relevance through partnership-led expansion, selective long-haul route launches, and destination branding. Between October and December, the airline announced multiple codeshare agreements, resumed and inaugurated key routes, and formalised a three-year tourism partnership aimed at reinforcing Hong Kong’s position as a global aviation hub.

Taken together, these moves prioritised network reach and connectivity over rapid fleet growth, signalling a measured post-recovery strategy.

The collaboration will be led by a panda-themed Airbus A320 aircraft, expected to enter service in the first half of 2026, and supported by joint travel packages and promotional initiatives  .

The partnership positions the aircraft as a flying ambassador for Hong Kong tourism, combining aviation, conservation messaging and destination marketing.
