JETSTAR ASIA OPERATES ORIENTATION FLIGHTS FROM CHANGI TERMINAL 4

Jetstar Asia Orientation Flights Take Off from Changi Terminal 4 on 22 February 2023

Jetstar Asia will relocate to Changi Airport Terminal 4 on 22 March 2023. On 22 February 2023, the budget airline operated its first orientation flights from Terminal 4. Jetstar Asia flight 3K 766 arrived from Manila at 12.40 am, while 3K 761 departed from Singapore to Manila at 6.15am the same day.

300 passengers experienced first-hand the end-to-end operations process including check-in, baggage drop and immigration. These customers were notified via email and SMS that they were among the first to fly in and out of Changi Airport T4 before the official move.

Jetstar Asia will initially operate more than 200 weekly services in and out of T4, to and from key destinations in Southeast Asia including Bali (Denpasar), Bangkok, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, and Phnom Penh

Jetstar Airways will also operate from T4 and continue to fly between Singapore and Melbourne up to six times a week with the popular route being operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, carrying more than 200,000 passengers each year between the two cities.

“Moving our operations from Changi Airport T1 to T4 requires meticulous planning and collaboration, and our team has been working hard to manage our systems, people and processes to ensure a seamless transition. These operational trials are critical for Jetstar Asia, Changi Airport Group and our partners to ensure that the kiosks, baggage- and cargo-handling systems are ready for use. The teams are also working closely with our ground handlers to ensure that our crew are prepared to safely manage transfer passengers between terminals so all our passengers enjoy a safe and enjoyable travel experience. In the coming weeks, a second orientation flight will be conducted to ensure our crew and teams are trained to manage the terminal move from day one.”
