Vietjet Launches Direct Flights from Singapore to Phu Quoc This Summer

Vietjet has launched a new four-times-weekly direct international route from Singapore to Phu Quoc on 30 May 2025. This new link opens up an effortless tropical escape to Vietnam’s most beautiful island, famous for its turquoise waters and white sand beaches. A quick search on Google revealed that Scoot is the other airline that offers direct flights every Sunday to Tuesday and Thursdays to Saturdays.

To mark the occasion, exclusive Friday fares are up for grabs, starting from S$86 (one-way, inclusive of taxes)—valid across all Vietjet Singapore-Vietnam routes. These deals can be booked every Friday, for travel until 31 December 2025, via www.vietjetair.com or the Vietjet Air mobile app.

The Singapore – Phu Quoc route will operate four times weekly (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun), departing Changi Airport at 13:05 and arriving in Phu Quoc at 13:45. Return flights depart at 15:45, reaching Singapore by 18:30.

Named one of the world’s top islands by Travel + Leisure, Phu Quoc is rapidly growing in popularity, recently welcoming over 1.4 million visitors, including 320,000 international arrivals in early 2025. Agoda also named it the most searched international destination of the year.

Just a two-hour flight from Singapore, Phu Quoc is Vietnam’s largest island and one of Asia’s fastest-growing holiday hotspots. Set in the Gulf of Thailand, this tropical gem is all about powdery white beachesclear turquoise waters, and laid-back vibes — ideal if you’re craving sun, sea, and a slower pace.

Nature lovers can hike through Phu Quoc National Park, a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve that covers more than half the island. For panoramic sea views, hop onto the Hon Thom Cable Car, the longest non-stop three-wire sea-crossing cable car in the world, connecting you to the quieter Hon Thom Island.

In 2017, the JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa opened and that was when Phu Quoc piqued our interest as a destination we will one day visit.

The beaches here are stunning. Bai Sao is often named one of Vietnam’s best for its soft sand and shallow waters, while Long Beach stretches along the west coast with a good mix of beach bars, resorts, and fiery sunsets.

There’s local culture too. Visit pepper farmsfish sauce factories, and the iconic Dinh Cau Shrine, perched on rocks by the sea. Newer developments like Sunset Town now bring nightly fireworks and artsy seaside strolls, perfect for golden hour.

The best part? No visa needed for up to 30 days if you fly in directly, making Phu Quoc a fuss-free tropical getaway that’s closer than you think.

This new service brings Vietjet’s total weekly flights between Singapore and Vietnam to 78, with routes also connecting to Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City, all key gateways for exploring the rest of Vietnam and Asia-Pacific.
