The post-race crowd from Singapore Grand Prix F1 Night Race at Padang had swelled to full-house by the time the American rock band, The Killers appeared on stage past 10.30pm. Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Jake Blanton Ronnie Vannucci Jr donned matching all-black outfits and brought the house down with a string of their nostalgic hit songs. Mark Stoermer could not perform because of a back injury so Jake Blanton was present to take over then bass.

Lead vocalist Flowers did not take long to peel off his black top to reveal an eye-catching red and white shirt. He engaged the crowd throughout the performance and greeted the crowd in the four national languages of Singapore, much to the delight of their fans.

It was worth the wait since the band cancelled Singapore Indoor Stadium gig in early 2010. The band put up a top-notch one and a half hour performance of their hits including ‘Runaways’, ‘Mr. Brightside’, ‘Human’, ‘Somebody Told Me’, ‘All These Things That I’ve Done’ and ‘When You Were Young’. The Killers reminds fans once again that they are still the hottest band in the world (as dubbed by Rolling Stone).

  1. There’s a mistake in the article. Bassist Mark Stoermer wasnt there. In fact, he’s gonna skip their Asian tour because of a back injury..
